Week of October 1st - October 6th

- NHL: Carolina Hurricanes vs Tampa Bay Lighting - When: October 11th, 7:00 PM - Where: Lenovo Center, Raleigh - Cost: $60+ (varies by seating) - Description: Hockey fans, get ready! The Carolina Hurricanes face off against Tampa Bay Lightning in an action-packed game. Catch the excitement of the NHL season opener and cheer on the Canes.

- When: October 17th-27th, Times Vary - Where: N.C. State Fairgrounds, Raleigh - Cost: $10-$13 - Description: The N.C. State Fair is back, and it’s bigger than ever! From thrilling rides and delicious fried food to local vendors and agricultural exhibits, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to catch the concerts and fireworks while you’re there! 
- When: October 18th, 5:00 PM - Where: Downtown Cary Park - Cost: Free - Description: This night market in Cary brings together local artisans, food vendors, and musicians. Shop while enjoying the lively fall ambiance. It’s a great stop for unique finds and handcrafted goods. 
- Hillsborough Street Trick or Treat - When: October 20th, 2:00 PM - Where: Hillsborough Street, Raleigh - Cost: Free - Description: Perfect for families, this event invites little ones to dress up and trick or treat along Hillsborough Street. Local businesses will be handing out treats, and there will be Halloween-themed games and activities. Great for young kids!

- Kooky Spooky Kids Halloween Party - When: October 25th, 6:00 PM - Where: Marbles Kids Museum, Raleigh - Cost: $20 Members | $22 General Public - Description: Marbles Kids Museum is hosting a not-so-scary Halloween party just for kids. With spooky crafts, games, and costume fun, it’s perfect for little ones who want to join in the Halloween excitement. 
- When: October 26th, 10:00 AM - Where: Jefferson L. Sugg Farm, Holly Springs - Cost: Free - Description: HollyFest is Holly Springs’ annual fall celebration. There will be arts and crafts, local businesses, food, and live entertainment. Don’t miss the family-friendly fun! 
- When: October 26th, 3:00 PM - Where: Morrisville Community Park - Cost: Free - Description: Bring the family out for Morrisville’s annual Boo Bash! Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating, carnival games, and spooky crafts. Costumes are encouraged!

Description: This community event is perfect for families looking for a safe and fun Halloween evening. Kids can walk the trail, trick-or-treating at various stations, all while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
2. NHL: Carolina Hurricanes vs. Boston Bruins
