Trick or Treat the Trail
Trick-or-treat around White Deer Park's one mile loop trail, dressed in a great costume, and don’t forget the candy bucket! Local businesses and organizations will be passing out treats, a creepy crawlies exhibit will be featured in the Nature Center, and food trucks will be on site for purchase. Parents must accompany children at all times. Pets are not permitted. This is a free family-friendly event please, no horror or gore.

Fall Arts Fair
The annual Fall Arts Fair features crafts from dozens of local artists, including jewelers, potters, painters, printmakers, bookmakers, glass artists, and fiber artists from Pullen and Sertoma Arts Center programs and the community. It’s an excellent outing for the whole family to get creative with hands-on art activities and live demonstrations by Arts Center teaching artists. The Fall Arts Fair also features local musicians and performers at the Fred Fletcher Amphitheater and food trucks.

WRAL First Night Raleigh
Festivities begin with the early afternoon City Plaza outdoor musical performances and the Children’s Celebration at 2pm. Performances and activities will continue throughout the evening across multiple indoor venues throughout Downtown Raleigh. The night is capped off with music on the outdoor Main Stage, the famous Raleigh Acorn Drop, and a spectacular fireworks show.

Celebrate Halloween with fa-BOO-lous family-friendly ghostly favorites from your North Carolina Symphony. From spooky classics to silly characters, the orchestra takes you on a symphonic thrill ride of haunted melodies and fantastical stories.

Magic and mayhem abound at Spellbound at Mordecai, presented in partnership with Paper & Stars Studio!
Encounter mysterious characters and amazing magicians, have your fortune told, and decorate a pumpkin to take home for All Hallow’s Eve. Shop for enchanting handmade items and treats at our mysterious market and enjoy family-friendly stage performances, inflatables, and more.
Kids and pets, wear your best Halloween finery to enter the costume contest and parade! The kids' contest will begin at 12 p.m. and the pets' contest at 1 p.m.

41st Annual A Shopping Spree
Featuring over 130 vendors offering a diverse array of fashion, home decor, health, beauty, specialty foods and holiday merchandise. Special events include a 40th-anniversary celebration, visits with Santa, silent auction and performances by community groups.
Supporting the Junior League of Raleigh’s Center for Community Leadership and community projects throughout Wake County. Since 1930, the League has donated millions of dollars and countless volunteer hours to programs and projects that impact our community.
Proceeds benefit impactful projects like AventWest Children’s Mentoring and the Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC.

Spooky Halloween Beer and Cider Stroll
You’ll spend the afternoon in the Whitaker Mill neighborhood visiting two beverage venues that produce beer and cider. The tour will include tastings at each venue. As we go along, you’ll learn about North Carolina’s craft beer industry, and what makes these Raleigh establishments unique.
We’ll meet at the Lynnwood Brewing Concern taproom, 1053 E Whitaker Mill Rd., Raleigh, for our first tasting and light appetizers. Then, we’ll visit Raleigh’s first cidery to taste ciders made from local apples. The brewery and cidery will have fall seasonal selections to enjoy.
Did you know that not far from this neighborhood, nearly 300 local residents are buried in a grave with one marker? Learn that story and more spooky history as you make your way between the two locations.

37th Annual Walk for Hope & Festival
In the 37 years since it began, our flagship charity event has helped raise millions of dollars towards better understanding of and treatments of mental illnesses like depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, postpartum depression, schizophrenia and anorexia.
Each year, thousands of participants come together at the Angus Barn in Raleigh to walk a 5K route to show solidarity for family, friends and community members living with a mental illness. After the walk is over, we celebrate our achievement with a family-friendly afternoon of food, games, music and prizes.

11th Annual Triangle Oktoberfest
