You’ll spend the afternoon in the Whitaker Mill neighborhood visiting two beverage venues that produce beer and cider. The tour will include tastings at each venue. As we go along, you’ll learn about North Carolina’s craft beer industry, and what makes these Raleigh establishments unique.
We’ll meet at the Lynnwood Brewing Concern taproom, 1053 E Whitaker Mill Rd., Raleigh, for our first tasting and light appetizers. Then, we’ll visit Raleigh’s first cidery to taste ciders made from local apples. The brewery and cidery will have fall seasonal selections to enjoy.
Did you know that not far from this neighborhood, nearly 300 local residents are buried in a grave with one marker? Learn that story and more spooky history as you make your way between the two locations.
