Best February 2026 Events in Raleigh & The Triangle

February in the Triangle is (fingers crossed) when the weather finally starts cooperating and we can get out of the house - whether you’re celebrating Galentine’s with friends, planning a fun date night, or just looking for something new to do around Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, and beyond.

  1. Groundhog Day

    When: Monday, February 2nd,10am-12:15pm

    Where: Garner Recreation Center

    Cost: Free

    Description: Celebrate Groundhog Day with the Triangle’s official weather-predicting groundhog — as he makes his forecast for the rest of winter. Family-friendly and seasonal fun for all ages!

  2. Date Night Dance Party

    When: Friday, February 6th, 7:30-9pm

    Where: 100 Town Hall Drive Morrisville, NC, 27560

    Cost: $33+

    Description: Enjoy a Valentine’s night out with appetizers, desserts and fun as you learn classic line dances, the basics of ballroom and a few swing steps too!

  3. Krispy Kreme Challenge

    When: Saturday, February 7th, 7am

    Where: NC State Bell Tower

    Cost: $45 participants

    Description: This quirky Raleigh tradition has runners (or walkers!) race 5 miles to Krispy Kreme, eat a dozen glazed doughnuts, and return — all while fundraising for NC Children’s Hospital.

  4. Linked & Inked: Galentines

    When: Saturday, February 7th, 11am-3pm

    Where: Vintage Raleigh West

    Cost: $50

    Description: Celebrate self-love and friendship with champagne, sweet treats, mini flower bouquets, and fun photo ops. Permanent jewelry, tiny tattoos, and piercings will be available for purchase. Come solo or bring your bestie!

  5. Mardi Gras Masquerade

    When: Saturday, February 7th, 8-11pm

    Where: Dix Park

    Cost: $40

    Description: Enjoy a festive Mardi Gras evening with DJ beats, adult beverages, hors d’oeuvres, masks, dance, and mocktails in a vibrant masquerade setting.

  6. Puppy Bowl & Chili Cook-off

    When: Sunday, February 8th, 3-4:30pm

    Where: Hartwell Raleigh

    Cost: Free to attend

    Description: Kick off Super Bowl Sunday early with adoptable pups, fun games, and a chili cook-off supporting local animal rescue.

  1. Galentine’s Modern Calligraphy and Tumbler Lettering and Blinging

    When: Tuesday, February 10th, 6:30-8pm

    Where: Cloer Family Vineyards

    Cost: $75

    Description: Enjoy a creative evening learning calligraphy and letter art — perfect for Galentine’s week!

  2. 'Love is in the Air' Cookie Decorating Workshop with AM Bakery

    When: Thursday, February 12th, 6:30-8:30pm

    Where: Adventures in Bloom

    Cost: $75

    Description: Get into the Valentine’s spirit with sugar, icing, and sprinkles. Learn the basics of decorating sugar cookies and have lots of fun while doing it!

  3. Pals & Gals Vintage Valentine’s Party

    Where: City of Raleigh Museum

    Description: Craft vintage-inspired Valentine’s cards, sip drinks, and enjoy chocolate treats at this charming evening benefiting the museum

  4. The Raleigh Stampede Rodeo

    When: Friday, February 13th & Saturday, February 14th

    Where: NC State Fairgrounds

    Cost: $20

    Description: Two days of rodeo competition featuring bronc riding, barrel racing, bull riding, vendors, and tasty eats

  1. Malort Mardi Gras Party

    Where: SLIMS

    Cost: Free to attend

    Description: Celebrate Mardi Gras Slim’s-style with beads, booze, and bold flavors. Kick things off with a Beads & Booze hang, catch live music late night, and finish strong with Malört ’til the bitter end. Tequila, Tecate, and Malört specials flowing all night.

  2. QuiltCon

    Where: Raleigh Convention Center

    Description: The world’s largest modern quilting celebration, with gorgeous quilts on display, vendors, and classes for quilt lovers and makers alike.

  3. Yoga With Cats
